Update for Gypsy from foster mom Cathy in Tri-Cities:
She is such a sweet girl, and very well behaved. She has been here a full week now, and has been great all around. Gypsy is timid, but no overly so, she is more cautious than scared, I think. So far, housebroken and doing fine in the house. She knows where the front door is, and Scout has shown her the patio door out to the deck, but we do not use that one as much this time of year. The hardwood floors were a little scary the first few days, she would hurry to the rug or blanket as quickly as she could, but each day has gotten better. Gypsy has not bothered the cats at all, she looks at them but that is it. The 2 friendlier ones will approach her, and walk by like she is supposed to be here, which is good - they do not feel threatened by her.
I was told she was afraid of men, but so far I do not see it. Gypsy is just fine with Kenny, and he has had a few buddies stop by and she is OK with them. She does better if I am nearby, but she has not showing fear as much as caution. She will at least approach the guys to get petted, and they know she is a foster and so therefore they wait for her to approach them. She will do just about anything for a belly rub!
Gypsy so far has shown the ability to be a watch dog, she does bark when someone pulls in the driveway, especially if it is a truck. My own comings and goings included, I think from excitement! She is just happy to have someone home with her. Gypsy does OK on leash, a little weaving and not too much pulling, and so far we have had her off leash in the yard here a bit, and she stays with us. She is a bit of a velcro dog, she will attach herself to your legs, even when on leash. Great for obedience training, but that does make it sort of difficult to have a good walk, though! She might be a good candidate for a less active family, she is really quite content to stay inside and be a rug potato as much as she enjoys a nice walk or adventure. As you can tell from the photos of her, she likes to just relax! I promise I will take some action shots and send those in too.
Another Update for Gypsy from her foster mom:
This past Sunday we had some friends visit and they brought the kids (human) - Maya age 12 and Dane age 9. Gypsy was not intimidated by the kids, she was her shy self at first but when she realized they were going to pet her, she was just fine. In fact, if she was not being petted, she would do the trademark paw and touch them, or nuzzle her head on them for more. Not knowing what her exposure has been to children, I thought she did just great! We will be taking her and Scout both with us to Kens parents today for Thanksgiving dinner, Scout goes over there with us all the time, we will see how she does there. They have a nice fenced backyard, and the dogs do get to come in the house. This wwill be all new for her, so I will keep you posted on how she is. Behavior wise I am sure she will be fine, but we will be out of her comfort zone and that is when her timidness kicks in.
She is a smart cookie!
Gypsy is currently located in the Tri-Cities, WA

Sasha is a companion dog and a very happy girl. She loves people but is not experienced with small children. She loves going for walks but does not need a great deal of activity. Sasha is housetrained and likes to stick close to her family, whether inside the house or outside. Not much of a wanderer - she is much more interested in getting and giving love and attention.
Sasha knows how to win friends and influence people. She will win your heart and be your boon companion if you let her.
Sasha is currently being fostered in Spanaway, WA

Koda gets along with other dogs - he has been exposed to small dogs and cats but not raised with them and also like typical mals may think they are simply toys. He may want to be boss in his home but has been well socialized.
All he wants out of life is to be part of a loving, playful family. This is what he has known all his life. Koda is AKC registered. He is losing his home due to a relocation but is still with the family who raised him. If you have children and are looking for a family dog, Koda is a dog you should definitely plan to meet.
Koda is currently with his owners in Mulkiteo, WA.

Morrow is a young Malamute mix who was brought to us for being destructive. Her previous owner gave us no history on her with cats or other dogs. She is ok with older children. She has had no training and it shows. Morrow will jump up on you when she meets you. SHe will dig and chew when she is bored. She is a very sweet, cuddly girl who likes to play with balls, going for walks and car rides, being groomed, squeaky, rope, and stuffed toys. Morrow has been an outdoor dog who should go to a home where she is allowed indoor family time. She is used to having a fenced yard. Morrow needs and owner with the time, effort, patience, and energy her training will require. She is in M25 and her ID is #2355

Meet one of the new boys. Dillon loves lots of loving pets and ear scratches. This gorgeous black and white boy was happy to get out of the shelter, and rode calmly in the car all the way home. He seemed to get along well with other dogs at the vet, but is unknown with cats. Dillon can be a little skittish when he first meets you, and is afraid of loud noises. He loves going for walks, but he could also use a little brushing up on his leash manners.

She loves belly rubs and scratches on her back where it is hard for her to get to. She knows the basic commands, walks on a leash and loves her treats. Also loves to be brushed!
She will come in the house, but wants to be outside as she gets too warm., she has a really thick, healthy coat on her and you will usually see her sleeping out in the yard in the cool grass. She has some arthritis in her back legs and prefers not to go up a lot of steps.
She currently lives with a 12 lb female Shih tzu named Bailey and a 40 lb Pit Bull named Bean and a Pit Mix named Opal. She can be found most days scolding the youngsters and playing referee and acting Motherly if need be. Other times she just ignores them and lets them settle they're own battles.
She also shares her space with 5 goats..whom she was very interested in at first, but now pretty much ignores...
She will howl at the moon most nights...for a minute or two and then settle in. She does not dig holes or chew up things, unlike the other two.
Luna is a great big mellow dog, that just wants to be loved and cared for and will in return, provide someone with constant, loving companionship.
Luna is currently being fostered in Vancouver, WA

Myrah can leap tall buildings in a single bound but often does not. She will need secure containment but she is not focused on escaping. She has mastered basic training, even including some hand signals, is pretty good with cats, exuberant meeting others, likes car rides, has gotten past basic puppy-chewing behaviour and is crate trained.
She is sweet, smart, ebullient, exuberant, gentle and SHE IS A LOVER. She is not a barker - does it only rarely. And does not talk much (yet?). Myrah is very focused on her human and will make her new person an incredible, classic malamute companion.
Myrah is currently with her owners while waiting to find her new forever home in Spokane, WA.

Scirocco loves to talk to people once he knows them but is quiet when alone and quiet and retiring when he is feeling insecure. But he clearly loves human companionship and like all mals his age is ready and waiting for a family of his own.
Scirocco is currently being cared for in Maple Valley, WA. If you would like to meet Scirocco, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible

Teva is an oh-so-sweet youngster who is going to be a big girl if she grows into her feet. She is already tall and is less than a year old. She is all puppy - very playful, very loving. She gets along with her foster moms dogs, which is to be expected at her age. Unknown with cats, kids or houses but we will learn more as we have her in foster care for a little while.
Teva is currently being fostered in Cle Elum, WA

Kooba and Amber are unknown with other animals since they have not been exposed to them much. We do know they will need a secure yard though, as they have been rumored to sneak out and explore life if given the chance. These two amazing head turners have lived their whole lives together and are a bonded pair. Ideally they will be adopted out together.
If you would like to meet this dynamic duo or any of our other Mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.
Kooba is being cared for in Puyallup.

Amber and Kooba are both VERY sweet, friendly dogs who have lives both indoors and out. They have not had the opportunity to meet many other dog or cat friends, so it is unknown how they get along with either. Amber and Kooba will need a very secure yard, as they have been known to go traveling together when they get the chance. These two beautiful gentle giants have lived their whole lives together and are a bonded pair. Ideally they will be adopted out together. Read more about Ambers brother Kooba below.
If you would like to meet Amber and Kooba or any of our other Mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.
Amber is being cared for in Puyallup.

Konan is extraordinary. He combines an easygoing personality with a solid athleticism and a silky-soft, terrific coat. He has energy to burn, and would be perfect for an active, athletic home.
He knows how to tell you what he wants - and he listens to what you want. He has the beginnings of some training and a willingness to learn more. He seems to like everyone! He is good with children, but is unknown with cats.
Konan seems to get along well with other dogs and is just a solid, graceful boy. He can jump up into your car with the greatest of ease, and rides great in the car. He would make a great running, skjoring and hiking partner that would then love to spend his evenings with you by a campfire, or in your living room.
Konan is being cared for in Maple Valley, WA. If you are interested in meeting Konan, please submit an application and we will get your home visit scheduled ASAP!
Konan is currently being fostered in Seattle, WA.

Bruno loves to play and has proved to be a bit of a ladies man as he tends to love his female humans. Bruno also loves to play, loves attention, loves a good long walk, and loves car rides where he sticks his big head out of the window. Watch where you leave your food though, Bruno also loves to eat! Bruno would probably not be an option for homes with small children, only because of his size. He has played well with other dogs, but has only had very, very closely supervised visits with cats as he has shown to have the normal prey drive of most Malamutes. Bruno would love a fenced yard, and maybe a buddy to play with. If you would like to meet Bruno, or any one of our other beautiful Mals, please submit an application and we will get your home visit completed as soon as possible.
Bruno is currently being cared for in Maple Valley, WA.

Yukon is a beautiful boy and shows all the classic Malamute attributes. Yukon loves to run and a home with cats is an absolute no no. Yukon is playful and loves his humans, but he is picky about his dog friends and does not always play well. He would probably love a home where he will be the one and only best boy.
Yukon is currently being cared for in Maple Valley, WA. If you would like to meet Yukon, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible.

Bristol is a special needs dog. He has been obviously mistreated most of his life. He is scared of humans, loud noises, and some dogs. However, when he gets to know you his real personality comes out. He is a definite couch potato. He would rather be inside on his pillow bed than outside.
He loves to ride in the car. He loves the off-leash dog park and is getting better about being near people. He has become part of my pack and defers to other dogs. However, he would prefer being an only dog in a quiet household. He is very prey driven with cats, and extremely fast for a couch-potato. Bristol loves to come put his head on my lap and just be held and loved. He loves being brushed.
Every time I come in the room he lays on his back to get tummy scratches. Occasionally he throws his head back and says WA WA. He is not a picky eater. In fact, he could use a little less food. He needs to be walked but does not require the amount of activity that most malamutes seem to.
Bristol is just a sweet boy who has been told that everything he did was wrong and responds well to someone telling him that he is a good boy.
Bristol is really blooming in foster care, here is the latest update from his foster mom:
Bristol was watching the other dogs shaking paws with me and put his paw up tentatively. Of course, I praised him profusely. I will continue to work on his shake command. He now also runs to the door to be petted when I come home along with the other dogs. He pushes his way to the front and is so excited to see me.
Bristol is being cared for in Vancouver, WA. If you are interested in meeting Bristol, please submit an application and we will get your homevisit scheduled ASAP!

Lilly is a high energy gal! She needs some work on her leash manners, but seems to be a very willing learner. The staff at the clinic where she was spayed absolutely fell in love with her sweet, silly personality. She is a complete character. Lilly will provide you with plenty of laughs throughout the day, and is just waiting for the right family to come along and give her a forever home.
Lilly is currently being cared for in the Spokane, WA area. If you would like to meet Lilly, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible.

He has lived with another dog and so far is good with the pack at his foster home. It is very funny to watch him and LingLing as she is half his size and so much faster that she wears him out. So he hides in his doghouse when he needs a rest. He is housetrained and was raised around children; unknown with cats.
Bear wakes up every morning and must say to himself - What a beautiful day today is! I wonder what adventures are in store for me?
He does have a longer, soft coat that will require regular brushing to keep him from being matted. Poor guy will have a gorgeous tail in a few months but he had so many matts, that we had to cut off all of his beautiful tail feathers. But Bear could care less. He just wants to have fun and be part of the family.
Bear is currently being cared for in Cle Elum, WA. If you would like to meet Bear, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible

As you can see from her picture, Maya is a sweet, beautiful old girl who finds herself abandoned in what should be the golden years of her life. Can you help her ?? We do not want this beautiful old girl to die with her last days in a shelter - no matter how much the staff love her!
Maya looks fat, but this is an illusion. She is skin and bones under all that fur. She walks slowly, but it is difficult to discern if this is a back leg issue versus just being malnourished and under exercised - or because her tail is matted to her legs. She needs a good grooming and WAMAL will provide that - including giving her a summer hairdo
Maya seems to get along with everyone, dog and people alike, and just wants to sleep in the sun and be the couch potato she deserves to be. WAMAL does not have a home for this girl. Do you?
Maya is being cared for in Seattle. If you would like to meet Maya or any one of our beautiful Mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit ASAP!

Tinker was found wandering the neighborhood and followed a kind citizen and his two dogs home on a walk. When they arrived home he plopped himself down on the porch like he belonged there. Unfortunately he cant stay with his current caretaker because he already has two dogs of his own to care for.
Tinker is being cared for in Snohomish. If you would like to meet Tinker or any one of our beautiful Mals, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

This guy has lots of potential, and given the opportunity to burn of some energy frequently, we think he will make a great companion dog.

Since then, he has learned to come in the house for treats, loves to be petted and loved by those he has gotten to know and absolutely adores spending time in active outdoor pursuits as he loves the active life! Once trust is established K-2 will be a devoted and wonderful companion. K-2 is not a candidate for a home with small children, simply because he has never been around them. He does well with female dogs and has done well on the hiking trail in his interactions but may always be cautious with unknown people, places and things. This special dog missed out on the exploratory puppyhood we all deserve but he has a promising future with the right person who will love him.
From those of us who have adopted dogs like K2: These dogs are worth every challenge. The wonder on their faces, the joy in their body language as they learn about each new and happy thing that life has to offer will bring years of pleasure and smiles and contentment to you.
K2 is currently being cared for in Seattle, WA. If you would like to meet K2, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible

Nanook was turned into the local shelter as her family could no longer keep her due to circumstances beyond her control. Shelter staff staff describe her as a friendly, nice girl! She likes to go for walks and does not pull too bad. She has not shown a lot of interest in other dogs. More information to come once we have an opportunity to get to know Nanook better. Her vaccines have been updated and she is being spayed in preparation for her new forever home. Nanook is AKC registered and has her registration certificate.
Here is an update for Nanooks foster home:
Nanook is settled in now. She has been great! She is very affectionate and really loves being around people. If we are sitting around she lays around us if we are up doing something she is right at our side.
Here are some observations:
Pulling - She pulls a little at the beginning of a walk when she is excited to go but settles down after a while and pulls a little but not bad.
Children - She is very good with our 10 year old daughter and loves to follow her around, but has not been around anyone younger as of yet.
Cats - After our cat realized that Nanook was friendly they have gotten along wonderfully! Nanook likes to chase her around but not to harm her just to play. Nanook also tries to groom her.
Dogs - She has only had a brief encounter with the neighbors 15 year old very mellow dog (it is a Northern breed but not sure what kind.) Nanook was on a leash and the other dog was not, they went nose to nose and Nanook proceeded to lick the other dogs face and ears.
Playing - She loves to chase us around the backyard and gently bump into us. She is very playful and has plenty of energy. She will put her mouth around your arm or leg but not bite down at all.
Commands - She understands NO and LEAVE IT and will stop or drop whatever. Unfortunately she looks as though she was abused. She closes her eyes and her ears go back when she hears those words. She is now hearing a lot of GOOD GIRL from us to hopefully help her to know she is not in trouble and that we are not going to hurt her.
Nanook is currently being cared for in the Kirkland area. If you would like meet Nanook, please submit an application and we will get your home visit scheduled as soon as possible.

Cody walks well on leash, as you can see from her pictures she is quite a family dog. She does fine with other dogs on walks and greets everyone she meets but she does expect some elbow room from those other pesky dogs. Cody likes walks and hugs and going for rides. She is housebroken and has basic obedience training, spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
Cody is with her family in Pullman, WA

Tundra is being cared for in Clayton, WA. If you would like to meet Tundra or any one of our other wonderful Mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

He really just wants a person or family of his own. Mr. Woo is good with kids and as with most Mals he is unknown with cats and will require a secure fence.
Mr. Woo is being cared for in Maple Valley WA. If you would like to meet him please submit an application and we will get your home visit arranged as soon as possible.

LingLing is very easy with other dogs but appears to be too boisterous for small children. Foster mom has no two-legged children so we do not really know. She has no manners but is very very responsive to love and affection. She does walk surprisingly well on leash until she forgets and takes off at full speed! such a funny girl.
LingLing was so frightened in the shelter that she would not go in a crate, bolted from a car and it took hours to capture her. But as soon as she discovered that her foster home was safe and that being petted felt really good and that the other dogs were happy and told her, she turned into a completely different dog in a single day! This is the fastest turnaround foster mom has ever seen. She will even come when called for pets of course and runs up to foster mom and wants nothing more than attention and play play play. Boy does she need a playmate.
LingLing has a gorgeous sable coat, big snowshoe feet and a head that is now too big for her slender body. She will fill out and grow into that head and will be a stunner. LingLing will do best in a home with another dog to play with.

Nala loves to go for walks, and is great to walk on a leash. She has no idea that her heritage was to pull a sled! She also loves to play, and will greet you with a big play bow and a wave of her big fluffy tail. She was raised with a small pack of 2 other dogs, but she seems far more interested in being with people than any other dogs. Nala is probably a bit too shy and reserved for toddlers, and is unknown with cats.
Nala is a wonderful dog who should do well in any home where she can be inside with her family. She would be just as happy as she can be to have a home and people to love her.
Nala is being cared for in Olympia, WA. If you would like to meet Nala, or any one of the beautiful Mals shown here, please submit your application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Caution does need to be used with toddlers as Loki does not see them as being higher in the pack order than he is. Because of this, the perfect home for Loki will NOT include small children and Lokis new masters will need to be someone who has prior Mal experience or is comfortable being the pack leader.
If you are looking for a life long companion who will always be there to greet you when you come home from a long day away from home, who is happy to accompany you as you do your weekly errands, who will help you keep that New Years resolution to take your daily walks and who would love nothing more than to lay with you and watch television, then Loki is the boy for you!
Loki is temporarily located in Southern California, but is available there as well as in WA state for adoption.

Check out this gorgeous girl! Belle is friendly and outgoing, has a beautiful coat, and is in excellent health. She is quite a bit more dignified and delicate than her brother, Beast, who loves to do everything he can to get her attention. These two would love nothing more than to have a fenced yard to play together in. Belle and Beast are quite attached to one another, and would like to go to a home together.
Belle is being cared for in Maple Valley. If you would like to meet Belle, or any one of the beautiful Mals shown here, please submit your application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Beast is one beautiful Mal! He is a big goofy boy with huge feet, who loves people and loves getting belly rubs. He has got a beautiful coat, and was given a clean bill of health at a recent vet visit. Beast loves his sister Belle, and is all over her all of the time. Beast and Belle were turned in to the shelter when their owner could no longer care for them. They would like to go to a home together.
Beast is being cared for in Maple Valley. If you would like to meet Beast, or any one of our other gorgeous Mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Athena hates to be left alone, and seems to be used to constant companionship of some sort. She has lived with big and little dogs, and got along well with both, so she may enjoy a canine companion for the times when her humans are away from home. Athena does not seem to know what toys are for, but would love someone to take her home and teach her about all the fun things in life.
If you would like to meet Athena or any of our other beautiful mals, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Harley is very curious with other dogs, small and large, and loves to visit with them. He shows no predatory behavior with cats, and has lived with 2 – one he avoids because she swatted him a couple of times, and the other one he bathes now and then. Harley loves greeting people he does and doesn’t know and is very good with kids of all ages. His size may be an issue with young toddlers, so as with all Mals, close supervision will be necessary.
Harley is housetrained and knows all the basic commands – sit, down, come, although he is all Malamute and may or may not listen!
If you would like to meet Harley, or any one of our other amazing Mals, please submit an application and we will get your home visit scheduled as soon as possible.

Cheyanne is a total sweetheart. She loves to give kisses, takes treats very gently and is initially timid. She walks very well on leash and has a great running speed that might work well for a jogger.
Cheyenne came to us from a shelter that was out of room but we were told that she is housetrained and gets along fine with cats and adores kids. We have personally seen her with kids and other dogs since then and can definitely verify that! She is a bossy little girl and if she goes to a household with another dog, it should be a boyfriend not a girlfriend. Cheyenne LOVES to play with dogs and children - and just anyone who will play with her!
Cheyanne is currently being kenneled in Spokane, WA

Meet Boonie, the Mal with a huge heart. A pregnant cat moved into Boonies doghouse and had her kittens, and Boonie moved out for her and just slept beside them. Boonie is very non-dominant and is very gentle with small kids and cats. He has also accompanied many horseback rides, and stays right with the pack. He is great with strangers, and only wants pets when he meets them. He has not met another dog that was not a friend, and follows the kids when they go out to play. Boonie enjoys hunting Pheasants and Chickens, so feathered friends will need to be watched closely.
Boonie knows sit and stay, and is house trained. He is mainly an outside dog, but also enjoys coming inside in the evening to spend time with his humans. He is a very low key dog that tries very hard to please. He does not jump up, or lick and kiss you unless you let him, he does not bark or howl. He is a fast learner, and a great catch!
Boonie is being cared for in Oakesdale. If you would like to meet Boonie and see if he is your new forever friend, please submit an application so we can schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Please be sure to let them know my ID number which is A389050.

A note from Samsons foster dad: Samson is an excellent mal. He LOVES RIDES AND BEING IN THE CAR even if the car never moves. He has a very laid back attitude, and would rather be inside, or outside sleeping in the back of the truck than in the back yard. Samson does not appear to be interested in playing or with other dogs. He tolerates the other dogs, but as long as they give him his space. He does extremely well inside. No accidents of any kind. He usually finds a place to lay down, and will sleep the whole time. This is not to say that he does not get excited when I come home from work, or he is going to get a treat or I throw a toy for him, etc. He seldom plays with the others, but does seem to like a squeaky toy nearby. He has had no problems of trying to get out of the yard.
Samson appears to know basic commands, but can be quite stubborn if he does not want to do something like go in the back yard in the morning. He will usually run to the front door, and if that does not work, he will lay down in front of the door with his nose in the seam of the door jamb. If that does not work, he will roll over on his side bury his head against the floor and act as dead weight which appears to be a lot of dead weight. Samson rides extremely well in the back of the truck, tied in of course, and will usually sit near the cab with his head around the side of the cab. Samson is a very loving dog who loves to be petted. I am not sure he has a mean bone in his body, nor is he a hyper dog. He seems quite content to lay around all day in the comfort of someones home or truck. He is a very good looking mal with a very dense coat in comparison to my others. I feel Samson would do extremely well in a single dog household or maybe with a non-dominant female. He would do best as an indoor dog as he may howl at night when left alone. He needs to be in a family that will take him for rides on a regular basis or at least for regular walks. In all, he is a beautiful and very loving, docile mal who I could see laying at someones feet in front of a crackling fire in a winter cabin.
Sam is being cared for in Tacoma. If you would like to meet Sam, or any of our other beautiful Mals, please submit an adoption application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Ulu (OO-lu) was an turned in to a shelter due to her owners military deployment. She is one SWEET girl and obviously has been living in a family with children situation. She is GREAT with kids, laying down for a tummy rub at the slightest interest shown, or laying her head in their laps for snuggles and rubs. She is not a dog who is happy out of sight of her human, and prefers to be wherever they are, in or out.
She is unknown with cats, but tolerant of small dogs and gets along with male dogs and select females as well with slow introduction and clear rules (she prefers to live and let live). She walks well on leash and sits at the door to have her leash put on. She has some prey drive and moves surprisingly fast when spotting squirrels. She know sit, down, shake (both paws) come, lets go and takes treats very gently, rides well in a car and loves it!
She is quite tubby at the moment (too many table scraps) and needs to lose about 35pounds. She has checked a-ok for general health, doesn~Rt have a thyroid problem and has had her pearly-whites cleaned.
Ulu is being cared for in Olympia, WA.

Named after Mickey Mantle, Mick is one of the only few Mals we know that will actually fetch a ball repeatedly. Now we know that, he plays fetch every day to try to knock off the extra few pounds he could use losing! Mick is a beautiful sable boy with a lot of red highlights. He has a luscious coat, and is built like a little tank. To look at him, you would swear he could not jump over a bucket, but he can easily jump into an SUV, and seems to love to.
Mick is picky about his doggy friends, but not incredibly so. He just likes to try to be the boss of everything on four legs. He loves all people, and loves attention. He knows how to sit, seems very eager to please, and is pretty well behaved on leash. Mick is VERY food motivated, so should be easy to train.
If you would like to meet Mick and see if he is the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Niko is a great dog who loves to run and play. He is a big boy who does not know his own size or strength so he should not be left with small children. He likes to be walked does not pull as much as I expected. He does not appear to know any commands but seems eager to learn. Niko is housetrained and used to being part of a loving family. However, he does like to be the only dog..
Niko is currently located in Spokane, WA

He has lived with another dog and so far is good with the pack at his foster home. It is very funny to watch him and LingLing as she is half his size and so much faster that she wears him out. So he hides in his doghouse when he needs a rest. He is housetrained and was raised around children unknown with cats.
Bear may be best with another dog. We hear he is quite a handful when he gets bored and can walk through, well, not walls but some fences. He is like a 125 lb puppy!
Bear is currently being cared for in Maple Valley, WA. If you would like to meet Bear, please submit an application and we will get a home visit scheduled as soon as possible

Kodiak was picked up as a stray in Spokane. He is a great dog. He has slowly come out of his shell and loves to be hugged and is getting better at giving kisses. We do not know how long he had been on his own but his coat needs some work and he does not know what treats are, although he is learning fast! The collar he had at the shelter was too small so his hair on his neck is all matted. A larger collar and some careful brushing is working just fine. He likes to be in the house with everyone and quickly finds a spot to lay down. He is has shown minor interest in the two cats but is more interested in keeping an eye on his people. He has shown more prey drive toward the outdoor cats but inside he is leaving them alone, so far. Kodiak is learning how to play and now chases a Kong but in typical mal fashion he chases but does not fetch. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, but can be snarly over his toys or food.
UPDATE: Summer is on the way and Kodiak is ready to be featured on the cover of a romance novel. His coat is just gorgeous and it flows like Fabios golden mane. He is a great indoor/outdoor dog and has learned that sleeping on the bed can be fun and cozy. He has even adjusted to the cat sleeping next to him. Kodiak is still choosy about his doggy friends but with proper supervision he can reside in the same yard with others. He can keep himself entertained for hours with his favorite toys and knows that when he walks away from them they are fair game for the others. He does well in the car and likes to go hiking and believe it or not his coat does not gather that much debris. He is a very vocal dog and will let you know when anyone approaches.
Kodiak has made great leaps and bounds in his manners since first coming into rescue. He is a very friendly dog and all ready to go to his new forever home and be part of a new family.
Kodiak is being cared for in the Spokane area.

To say Lexi is slender is waayy understatement. This girl looks anorexic and eats like she has been starved too. But her slender build does not slow down her boundless energy one little bit. Does not stop her from playing non-stop, or being best at tug-of-war or worrying the bejaysus out of poor Levi, who really loves the attention. She bounds, she jumps, she grins and runs away. But when people come around, she also just wants to be held. She is never defensive or, so far, shy. She is pretty happy-go-lucky and seems to make the best of her surroundings, no matter what. She gets along with the other dogs just great, even the bossy old females!
Lexi likes to play, love, run and hide her food bowls in her dog house. Her mom just found 3 there that had been missing for days - how dumb can Mom be? Does not seem to matter that they are empty - hey, food might magically appear, you never know! She has beautifully expressive eyes and we just hope the rest of her grows up into that big malamute head. Or maybe she will always be the racer of the crew, the runway model, the...well, you get the picture.
Lexi is currently playing in Goldendale, WA.

Dezzie is a gorgeous little girl, who is going to grow into a gorgeous very big girl. She loves to ride in cars and play with anyone who will pay attention to her. She likes to chew on sticks and raw hides and food is not the most important thing in her life. She is content to be laying near her people and is quite the little shadow. She comes when called and is learning quickly to not jump on people and to sit on command. She likes her dogloo and does not mind being in the outdoor kennel run. She appears to be fine with the cats in limited interactions. She takes her treats very gently and loves to cuddle. She will be spayed next week and then will be ready for a loving, new, forever, home.
Dezzie is being cared for in Spokane.

Will Thumper grow into his head and feet? Only time will tell but we think he has a bit of growing yet to do. His coloring looks like a fawn (the only delicate thing about him) but we could not call him Bambi - so Thumper it is, also after his constantly waving thick tail. He has a wonderful snow coat, soft and plush, as well as those big snowshoe feet.
And he will play all day long. Thumper is so happy-go-luck and easygoing that he runs up to all the dogs, male and female young and old. The other youngsters play with him constantly but all of the dogs seem to think he is a really cool squeaky toy - Oh Boy, make Thumper Squeal! funny thing is, he seems to love it.
Levi has taught Thumper and Akemi both how much fun water is. They jump in the pools to cool off and race around the yard full speed. Then go grab the remaines of the latest yard-doggie blanket and play tug-of-war.
Thumper has not been around children or cats but he seems like a good candidate for a family with children old enough to be taught puppy behaviours and he seems like a great candidate for a family with other dogs or an active family. Thumper would be my first choice for a snowshoe hike next winter!Thumper is currently being fostered in Cle Elum, WA.

Willy has come out of his shell, and is an energetic young boy! He loves to play and romp around. He does know some commands, sit and down, but in typical puppy fashion, it is only for a second. He loads into a vehicle like a pro, and doesn't come flying out as soon as the door is open. Like most young, energetic dogs, he would do best in an active family. He has been very friendly with people of all ages, but care would need to be taken with any small children due to his high energy level.
Willy is just so adoreable! The vet staff thought he was so pretty, and of course he had to show off for them by strutting around and bouncing!
Willy is being cared for in Spokane.

Sitka is very sweet! Her personality is evolving daily as she gets to know her new surroundings. She can be a little submissive, but not overly so, and does startle a little at times until she gets to know you. She loves people and loves attention, and she has done very well with her foster familys 3 huskies and 1 mal. Sitka is house-broken and knows some basic commands like sit and wait, and is easy to walk. She is eager to please so should be a quick learner. As a puppy will do, she still explores everything and is learning boundaries i.e. not chewing on the furniture. There are no children or cats in Sitkas foster home, so we are not sure how she is with either.
If you have always dreamed of owning a beautiful girl like Sitka, please fill out an online application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Want to smile constantly? Laugh a lot too? Want a turn-key dog? For the person who knows the challenges and joys of living with a Northern Breed, this young boy is the answer to your dreams. An EXCEPTIONAL young mal-sibe mix, King is Malamute size, malamute feet and malamute features) with a Siberian coat, one blue eye, and SWEET disposition. He has been well socialized and only asks to be near you, voicing his unhappiness otherwise.
Within 2 hours of arriving at his foster home, he was playing well with ALL his foster moms dogs and will be MOST happy with a canine companion to exercise with. He is well-mannered in the house, crates himself, is housetrained, and quite laid-back when snoozing on the couch. But, he much prefers to lie next to your chair for random ear scratching and tummy rubs.
He is sprightly and interested in his surroundings on a walk and does not pull the flexi-lead. But you need to be Northern Breed savvy; King has been seen deftly leaping onto the rounded dogloo igloo with HIGH interest in the pond ducks and a strong determination to find a way down from the deck to get them; he is a clever problem solver.
Kings supposed food aggression has not shown at his foster home, but his fostermom ALWAYS feeds her dogs separately. He tolerated having his dish taken away, toys too and expressed no aggression when she trimmed his toe nails or pulled out summer-shed hair tufts). His expression of high interest in ducks seems to indicate a strong prey drive ~V in ducks anyway - so a home without small creatures is necessary. Unknown with small children, he might make a wonderful companion for an older child.
King is being fostered in Puyallup, WA.

Princess Leia is definitely a Princess. She loves to lay on the bed with her head on the pillows. Watch out or you will leave for a second and return to find her in your easy chair!
Princess Leia is a tough, smart little girl! She was found running with another Mal and a Sibe. Her rib cage, backbone and hips were predominant. She has gained weight and is very active with her foster Moms pack. She gets along with other dogs. At her foster home she is becoming one of the boys. She housebroke herself by watching one of the other dogs. She is a little unsure around other people, and just needs a little socialization to get her used to humans and strange places. She shows no interest in cats as long as they are not running. She is used to being in a pack and will do better with at least one other dog.
Leia is being cared for in Vancouver, WA. If you would like to meet Leia, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

If you are missing something in your life, Cruiser will fill it. This handsome guy, with his short and neat summer coat, is up for doing whatever you want to do. If you want to go on a hike, he is ready to go on a hike. If you want to lounge around the house, he will lounge with you. He is very well behaved and house broken. He alerts you by barking if he needs to be let out. He seems to prefer to be indoors, but he also enjoys outdoors. He likes to chase balls, but he especially loves to chase a kong filled with peanut butter! Cruiser obeys commands, such as, sit, lie down and shake, although sitting needs a little work. With treats to reward him, he obeys on first command. He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs. The presence of cats or anything of that size surfaces his high prey drive. How Cruiser acts around children is unknown.
Cruiser is currently being cared for in Seattle, WA.

Stryker is young active boy who needs to learn some manners but is a sweet heart through and through. he jumps into the car and travels great. He interacts with other mals very well and backs off when challenged. He is a very bouncy boy but walks quite well on a leash. He will need an active family and is not a good candidate for small children because of his jumping. He is unknown with cats at this time. He was recently altered and bathed so he all ready for a new home.
UPDATE: Stryker is now being fostered in the Deer Park area. He has shown that he likes to play fetch and will actually drop the toy when he returns it to you. He can sit and laydown and will come from the other side of the yard when called. He likes exploring and settled in nicely to his new suroundings. He interacted OK with his new doggie friends but will need adequate supervision with playmates. He enjoyed searching the house and did not show any aggression towards the cats. As his foster mom sees more of his personality we will update his page.
UPDATE: Stryker has made huge strides in his new foster home. He plays well with dogs his own size and activity level and will lay nicely beside the resident cats. He can now lay down and stay with a treat in front of him until given the command that it is Ok to eat them. He loves to play fetch and will catch a tennis ball mid bounce. He responded well to having a pulling harness on him and is learning how to walk nicely on leash. He is a strong boy who will need lots of rules and responds well to positive reinforcement. Stryker is eagerly awaiting his new forever home.
Stryker is currently being cared for in Maple Valley, WA.

Akemi is LOST in Port Orchard!
Akemi has been lost from her new home in Port Orchard since 10/16. We have ads out on craigslist which we have been re-posting. The last response from a CL reader was:
She was on the freeway on the opposite side heading back towards Port Orchard. She was about a mile or 2 past the Mullenix exit and a great gentleman was pulled off trying to get her out of freeway traffic. He was heading back into Port Orchard.
If anyone has any info on Akemi, please contact us so we can get this girl back to her new adopted parents! Thank-you!
SPONSORED!
Akemi is being sponsored by Darren and Sharon Carpenter of Portland, OR. for the month of October.
Admittedly Akemi is a mix - she is really more of an Alaskan Husky than a purebred Alaskan Malamute, but we could not leave her in the shelter with a dismal future. Good things come in small packages and that is certainly true with this underweight, 55 lbs of pure sweetness. Akemi is a little timid and is submissive too her big boisterous malamute friends, male and female, in the play yard. She loves to play and can play tug of war but is puzzled by Levis ability to fetch. But she can outrun him to try to take that ball away! She is so good she is even kenneled with Levi since she seems to prefer having company.
Akemi is very sweet and gentle and likes to give kisses on the face and neck. She is a very very easy dog to handle. She is nearly emaciated now - she has obviously whelped in the not-too-distant past and it tore down her poor little body. We are feeding her more than even the 120 lb dogs here and she is so happy! She is just starting to feel more at ease and her playful nature is coming out. She will probably do well as an only dog where she can bond tightly with her family, we would suspect she will be wonderful with children. But she will also be really great in a household with multiple dogs as she really knows how to get along with a diverse crew. She will be such a joy in a home where she can get consistent love and attention so she can learn that the world is a safe place.

Wolfgang is house-trained but has been mostly an outdoor dog. He sleeps in the mudroom, but he generally gets restless and hot in the house. He loves to play with other dogs, so he would love to go to a home with a playmate if possible. Wolfgang has a very loud howl and bark and he will use them if left alone without another dog or his people. He will sometimes bark and growl at men he does not know, but usually warms up to them very quickly.
Wolfgang knows how to sit, and walks well on leash. He crates up nicely for car travel. He has used a ski-joring harness and he pulls a sled really well. He has a lot of muscle and endurance and is extremely agile; goes for long mountain bike rides and sets a fast pace. He has also used a dog backpack, but he needs to be leashed at all times because of other animals. Wolfgang is a great swimmer and loves the water. He is a great active dog for an active person or family, especially a mountain biker or hiker who can be firm with him. He is very athletic and terrific in the snow, even deep snow. Wolfgang would not match well with a sedentary family.
If you think you have what it takes to keep up with Wolfgang, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

A note from Kenos foster dad: What do I say about Keno? Hmmmm... High energy! Very loving. Obedient. Great dog! Keno seems to know basic commands such as: sit, come, stay, no, good boy, etc. however, he is definitely mal and if given the opportunity to run, he will typically do so. He enjoys squeaky toys and loves to climb on top of things - ie the boat, the tractor, etc... of which my neighbor finds quite entertaining as Keno peers down over the fence from the top of the backhoe. In all Keno does great inside or out. I do not know how he would do if he were the only dog as he has a lot of energy and might get bored if left alone, but I think he would do really well with a female preferably non-dominant companion.
Keno would do well with someone who can take him for runs or at least regular walks and rides. He loves to go for rides!!!!! He is fairly good on a leash and may pull slightly, but is receptive to a firm voice and heal. He is a very affectionate dog that loves to lay at your feet with his head resting on top of your feet, and will often push his head against your feet or legs if he feels your not giving him enough petting. I truly feel that he is a dog that would risk his life for his master if it were called. He has a beautiful coat that combs out well in spring. I would not recommend him for a house with small animals nor possibly small kids due to his high energy level and a tendency to play rather rough. In general, he is an extremely loving dog who would make someone a great companion.
Keno is currently being cared for in Lakewood, WA.

MaiTai was left in her current home when her owner moved out of the country. The roommates love her but there are many dogs there, including tiny dogs, and MaiTai does not want other dogs around her food. She likes having playmates her own size - two and four legged. But in a multiple roommate / multiple all-size dog situation, MaiTai just does not fit in. She needs her own family and lots of love.
MaiTai is currently located in Yakima, WA.

I am Kaya, a JEWEL OF A COMPANION with a calm, sweet, loving, heart. I am happy to be close to you if your in the house or outside. I take treats softly and do not beg in the kitchen. I am cautious and curious with new things and perk my ears to different kitchen blender speeds. I am so cute! I am a piece of cake for handling on a flexi leash, leading slowly or jogging beside you. I ride really well in a vehicle but I am a bit unsure of where were going, so just help me in and were on our way. I love attention and I love tummy rubs, giving kisses, taking walks, exploring the woods, swimming, playing on the lawn, sleeping inside with you or in another room. I am extremely gentle with handling and grew up with 2 other male mals. I avoid confrontation if I can. You can hold my feet, check my toe nails, legs, ears and teeth without any trouble. I am healthy and ready to be your cutie pie friend. If you would like to meet me or any of the other wonderful Mals on this site, please fill out an online application and we will schedule your home visit asap. Hope to hear from you soon!

Rex is just as sweet as he looks. He lost his home because his owners moved to a new home that did not allow large dogs. Rex plays well with other dogs and has always been fine with children. He is old enough to be dignified and is very easy going and not a bit rambunctious. But he does love people and loves to be petted and to get attention. In fact you can see the big grin on his face.
Rex loves the snow and likes to greet the moon each night with a welcoming howl. But he is doing well in the summer heat as long as he has shade, water and walking around room. He is interested in everything in his new foster home, including the other dogs. He is a pretty live-and-let-live kind of guy.
Rex will be an excellent companion dog. He does not require a lot of exercise; only moderate activity for this guy. He is said to have a high prey drive; he ignored the cats in the vet office but we think he may have been a tad groggy. Like most mals, without a fence he will wander off but a shorter fence may work for him.
He is not a bit noisy and he will truly reward your love, affection and introduction to new life adventures.
Rex is currently being fostered in Cle Elum, WA

Gracie is full of grace. It is her personality that is grace-full her body is built like a little tank. If you are looking for The Big Easy, look no further than Gracie Lee.
Sweet Gracie Lee is a house dog. She is comfortable in the house, she has obviously spent years in the house, she is knows house commands. Lay Down is her favorite. Gracie loves to lay at your feet, or put her head in your lap, and snooze while you are reading or working. She wants nothing more than to be with people. With dogs, although she thinks it might be fun to be boss, it is usually too much work. As long as she knows the rules, she can get along well with an entire pack of dogs.
But it is with people that Gracie really shines. She has an unbelievable sweetness about her. She is also goofy, her tongue sticks out - all the time - and she tilts her head and looks at you with big droopy brown eyes and your heart just melts. She does not challenge even 3 foot fences, she does not take off for the hinterlands when she is let out. She LOVES to be petted and also loves to be brushed and since she has a luxurious coat, that is good. Gracie is just a wonderfully sweet SWEET companion, looking for her new forever home.
When Gracie shed this year, she REALLY shed! Her foster mom thought there was something wrong with her. (turns out her thyroid is low but that it not uncommon and easily handled). But her fur is already growing back, we have seen this before in dogs who were ill when they came to us. In the meantime, she looks like she has a little wrestler suit on. This girl is a cutie pie no matter what. The good news, she says, is that she is staying cool everytime the weather turns hot. She has become positively perky, in fact.

Xavier is just one great looking, big, galumphing puppy. He is the new kid on the block so we do not have much info on him yet, but he appears to have an easygoing and sweet personality. He is also very young, very strong, and will most likely be very active. From what I hear he could use a little less wrestling and roughhousing and a lot more basic training! Right now Xavier is unknown with kids and cats, but we will update his bio as we get more information.
If you would like to meet this fun loving boy, or any one of our other Mals, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.
Xavier is being cared for in Kent, WA.

Bandit is a big, gentle, mellow boy. He walks easily on leash, and would be perfectly happy with nice easy walks rather than rigorous runs or hikes. He has great manners, is quiet and does not jump up on people. Bandit does not need a huge yard to be happy, and is fine left alone outside for a time, but he definately does not like being in a kennel. He would actually much prefer to be a house dog and a couch or bed potato. When in the house he tends to park himself as close as possible to a human. Humans are the center of Bandits life.
Feeding time is quite a performance with Bandit. He sits with his whole body shaking, and his front paws drum a quick staccato on the floor. He loves his food but does not make a pest of himself by begging. He does have a wonderful howl and a unique talking voice, although it is being used very rarely. He knows basic commands like come and sit, and he is housebroken. He also does a Malamute stay, which means that sometimes he stays! Bandit loves having his beautiful medium heavy coat combed out, and he loves getting petted, but is not pushy about it. He rides very nicely and quietly in the car.
Bandit sniffed two old cats rather perfunctorily at his foster home, and is totally ignoring them. However he would appear to prefer to be the only dog in his household as he can be picky about his doggy friends. He has had a wonderful meeting with an 8 year old boy who decided to wet his head, and Bandit just let it happen without any sign of protest.
Is Bandit the right dog for you? He does not ask for much, and in return is ready to give his new family a lifetime of love and devotion.
If you would like to meet Bandit, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

A foster home for Isis has been found!
Isis has spent her whole life with a family until recently where she was turned into a local shelter. Isis loves walks and is wonderful on a leash. She knows all of her basic commands, and even though we were told she did not like brushing, she about fell over herself when we were brushing her. She gets along with children and seems to do okay with indoor cats. Outdoor cats better be quick though, because this old gal can sure move fast when she wants to go after one. Isis would probably prefer to be an only dog.
Isis just had a check up, had her shots updated, and was given a clean bill of health. The vet says she is a very healthy dog. She has some muscle atrophy from being a couch potato, but with regular walks twice a day will be back in shape in no time. She also has mild hip dysplaysia, but the vet says that it is to be expected at her age and was of no real concern. Age is after all really just a number. If you can provide Isis with a comfortable home and regular exercise for the rest of her life she will repay you with an incredible amount of love. Are you the family Isis is waiting for? Please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.
Isis is currently being fostered in Vancouver, WA

Maverick is a wonderfully happy-go-lucky guy just waiting for new home and someone to play with. There is a story there somewhere - Maverick is missing part of his tail. But it does not bother him a bit. He is sweet and energetic but not tough guy at all. He has a wonderful snow coat and that is about all we know about him at this point.
Here is what one of our volunteers who spent some time with Maverick has to say about him:
Maverick is all boy. He loves to explore, hunt and dig in the dirt. He has a healthy prey drive which means that he might not be suited for a home with small furry friends, but he will be an excellent hiking companion. He is a great size for traveling in a travel crate or the back of a station wagon or small SUV. He is sturdy enough to carry his own pack and nimble enough to jump through the tall grass instead of walk through it. This leads me to believe he will also jump through deep snow. And since his tail is cut off just below the traditional Mal curl, he does not have a fuzzy burr catcher following him. He is a strong and sturdy dog that will need a sturdy fence to keep him from wandering to follow his nose. All in all he will make a great companion for any active home. His hunting skills will amuse just about anyone.
Maverick is in Goldendale, WA.

Please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Dolly is just that, a doll!
She is sweet and calm and loves to lay in her bed indoors and keep an eye on what is going on outdoors. She makes an effort at being a watch dog by barking a few times when someone comes near the house. She also has a great Woo Woooo that she uses to let everyone know exactly what she wants.
Dolly is in a loving foster home and is feeling very loved and safe again after being found wandering the streets.

One of the newbies....TJ is still a teenager. Very thin, big, beautiful and very strong. Just wait until she grows into her Mal frame! Poor girl is a little embarrassed that the only photos we have of her gangly teenage year is when her coat is in full blow! TJ is just a happy, happy girl, but from what we have seen, she is not a candidate for a home with cats. We will update you as we find out more about TJ. If you would like to meet TJ, or any of our amazing Mals waiting for their forever home, please submit an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Elias is a gorgeous puppy with a nice short coat, but he needs to gain some weight. He may be thin due to his age, or it may be because hes been on his own for a while. Once he grows into his paws and ears though, he will be a nice sized boy. Elias has the energy of a puppy, but is a very well behaved youngster. His favorite thing to do is to snuggle and cuddle with humans. If you are willing to pet, scratch or rub, then he is willing to lay all over you!
Elias recently took a road trip to Petsmart and did great there. He just wanted to wander and wander amongst the treats. He ignored the couple of small dogs that were in there, and just sniffed everything. At the checkout counter he sat very nicely for treats. The staff fell in love with him and were amazed at how well behaved he was for his age. While traveling to the kennel in Spokane, Elias had a chance to meet acat. He only showed mild interest, and as soon as the cat hissed Elias turned and walked away.
If think you would like to meet this well behaved youngster or any one of the other beautiful Mals here, please fill out an application and we will schedule your home visit as soon as possible.

Lucky looks like a rough, tough leader of the pack kind of guy when you see many of his pictures. He might even be a great dog to deter strangers from coming to your door. But in fact, this boy is an absolute sweetheart. He is loving, gentle, fun-loving, probably a frisbee dog!, That little heart-of-gold comes right out as soon as he is comfie with you. He does very well with other dogs, may even be good with cats and smaller dogs. He LOVES to be pet and will hold on to you to ask you to please pet him some more. And for some reason we think he will be a great dog for a boisterous happy family. We have no real experience to justify that thought, he is just the type of dog who happily joins in, once he realizes that it is OK.
A sports-minded family? Children and other playmates? Lucky is VERY agile but has not challenged his foster moms relatively short fence. Is there someone out there who wants to come see if he can learn to play Frisbee or go running with you?

I am one of a litter of 5 mostly malamute puppies. We do not know who dad was and moms owner did not want us. We have been in foster care since about 5 weeks old and we are around 7 weeks in these pictures, but we are going to grow and change fast. We will probably basically look like malamutes and will be pretty big. Our ears might not come up (but then again they might) and some of us might not have really fluffy coats, but we will all be excellent snow dogs. (as you can see we already are!) We will all have to be altered before we can go home and that would not be until after Christmas, so please do not consider any of us for Christmas presents even though we are cute!
Please note, we are available to homes with appropriately fenced (5 feet high or over) yards and homes without children under the age of 3.
We are being cared for in Leavenworth, WA.

He has lived with another dog and so far is good with the pack at his foster home. It is very funny to watch him and LingLing as she is half his size and so much faster that she wears him out. So he hides in his doghouse when he needs a rest. He is housetrained and was raised around children. NO CATS.
Bear may be best with another dog. We hear he is quite a handful when he gets bored and can walk through, well, not walls but some fences. He is like a 125 lb puppy!
