Please send this photo along to Cindy Neely as she helped me rescue Lishka
almost five years ago from WindRiver Shelter in Hailey, ID. I have been blessed
to have her with me: on the hiking trail and in our king-sized bed. The SUV is
also hers...I'm just the driver!
Lishka has just been diagnosed with osteo-sarcoma with no evidence of
metastases to her lungs. Amputation tomorrow; therefore T-shirt practice today! She
got it off but I didn't have it tied at the waist. Note the HULA shirt; I am a
hula teacher! Hawaiian Alaskan Mal.
She's sparkly and loving and hopping like a bunny and we are both ready to
remove the sick leg. Please tell Cindy as she and I spoke at great length on
Monday this week. Leavenworth is full of folks coming by to give LIshka (and me)
hugs and prayers for recovery and new adventures. How blessed we are to live
with these valiant and loving creatures.
With Aloha,
Momi
