His foster says, “ICY is doing amazingly well! His last surgery was December 23rd at SVS in Kirkland, a bilateral TPLO plate removal. We don’t have enough kind words and prayers to thank Dr. Vince and his team for the wonderful care.
He’s such a happy playful pup! He's loving our longer than usual walks and doesn’t seem in discomfort or pain anymore (before a bit of exercise could cause lots of discomfort). He’s in a better mood and always smiling. He is a bit more interested in the kitties and the playpen is not something he sees as a big obstacle, he’s more confident on standing, but we manage to be always close and put some blankets around so he doesn’t see them and it’s fine. So, I think definitely no other animals in his furever home :)--they are just too interesting to be left alone.”
Icicle is a 5 1/2 year old husky that will gaze into your soul and speak worlds with his beautiful multi colored eyes! Icy, as we fondly call him, had a very sad life and can be a bit shy around men initially. But with a little love and patience, he’ll be sure to show off his wonderful personality! He’s the epitome of loving, loyalty, and fun.
Over the last year he went through 3 TPLO surgeries with lots of PT to make sure he recovered great. It was a lot but he’s a champ.
His post-surgery suture removal went great and “Icy Icy baby” got the “all clear” with a full recovery! Are you excited yet!? We are over the moon for this sweet guy and he’s ready to find his furever home!
Ideally his home would be one with minimal steps/stairs and no small children, because he likes to be your one and only. Icicle can be choosey about his dog friends. For his arthritis it’s good to give him plenty of omega-3 and a couple cosequins (supplements) a day to keep the doc away.
He loves walks and plays with toys, but cuddles to watch some TV are on the top of his list! He’s not high energy but loves his daily walks. He’ll love you, make you smile every day and be your most loyal friend. All he asks for in return is a little exercise, belly rubs, good food, and the yummiest treats you can find!
We are courtesy listing this pup to help him find his furever home. WAMAL has not personally evaluated the dog so please contact his foster to find out more and for adoption information! Genny at firstname.lastname@example.org or 515-227-9092.
